The hourglass figures is characterized by the shoulders and hips being the same width, coupled with a well-defined waist.

This is currently considered the hottest body shape to have, even despite the fact that fashion designers are still throwing stick insects down the catwalk.

Marilyn Monroe was known for being adored for her hour glass shape, and ever since then, female celebrities have been chasing the hourglass figure dream.

Kate Winslet the Oscar winner has the typical hourglass figure, and she came top of a UK poll that rated celebrity bodies. It is not only her; there is Angelina Jolie, Kate Beckinsale and Beyonce to name a few.

Ladies with this well proportioned and (dare we say) perfect figure are very welcome at the bridal shops Scottsdale has to offer, because the hourglass figure is so easy to dress.

Ladies with an hourglass figure can pull off most shapes of wedding dress.

Any style of wedding dress can be fixed and adjusted to look perfect on the hour glass figure. Ironically, in many cases a dress designer will start most dress designs with the hourglass figure as a model, and then take it in or let it out to suit ladies of a different shape.

Try a fish tail skirt. They are great for showing of those lovely lady curves. Bodices always look great on an hourglass figure too. If your bust is slightly out of proportion, then you can really make it pop with an empire line top. It will show off and emphasize the bust of any wedding dress

Any type of wedding dress is going to suit the sexy hourglass figure. The only precautionary note to be given is to remember that less is more. The natural hourglass figure does not need any portions emphasizing. Emphasis is for people with slightly imperfect hour glasses or different body shapes.

If you go overboard and try to emphasize the perfect hourglass then you will begin to look out of proportion. Many women for example, will try to highlight their chest, but often make themselves look out of proportion and overweight.

A little emphasis or highlighting is only needed if your hourglass figure is a little off (proportion wise).

For example, a lady may wear a corset underneath her wedding dress, or have a longer bridal gown and high heels to make herself look taller.

Consult your family, friends and the dress merchants and tailors if you are not sure about your dress.

Do not rush the decision, since these little niggling concerns are what will stay with you throughout your special day.
